This picking season we continue responding to the seasons changing here in Julian. August 2023 saw hurricane Hillary pass through, then spring, summer and fall 2024 brought almost no fruit on trees in almost every orchard including 3803 Wynola Road.
That s Agriculture, just so y all know!
As I water, water, water some more and get the place ready for your picking enjoyment, we are seeing a great crop so far that rivals the better years! Harvest 2025 will begin Sept 6,
and go in two stages:
Picking of Golden and Red Delicious, Jonathan and Jonagold will kick it off in September. Then when those are getting picked out in late September, I will Pause and let Granny Smiths ripen further to allow for the peak of quality this cultivar offers for making awesome pies!
We will reopen weekends in mid October just in time for the wonderful Julian fall, slightly cooler longer nights with the reliable star filled skies and holiday happenings beginning.
We will have a once per season midday concert with local band Haywire to accompany your picking! Dress in a creative Halloween costume! Three lucky Halloweeners will take home a free 1/2 peck bag of apples (normally $20) for the (3) costumes chosen in (3) categories! Details to follow as we get closer to the date TBD!
We have bottled water available for $1, full bathroom and plenty of parking inside the grounds and along Wynola (be aware of drivers on Wynola, a popular through street).
As always we look forward to your group visiting, we have times available Sa Su 9-2
or for those who can t make weekends some appointment times available midweek.
